Daytona results 2014

Well, it's that time of year again. Glad to see we have so many people on board with the pool. Let's hope all our favourite drivers win!

I'm going to try something different this year. Instead of updating the standings boxes every week, I'm going to cut & paste the standings right into the post. The high and low scores of the race are shown by the green and yellow highlights. :)

We'll try this for a while and see how it goes. Good luck everyone!

2014 Driver Groups

The 2014 edition of the driver groups are available. Click on this link: http://texracer.x10.bz/2014DriverGroupsRevised.pdf

Also, would like to post a reminder of the rules of the Nascar Pool. Click on this link: http://texracer.x10.bz/NascarPoolRules.pdf

Apparently Daryl's son, Kelvin, will be organizing things this year while Daryl is away. You can contact him at 226-821-4442. Text or phone, either is good. Any questions, please contact him at that number.

Good luck everybody!

Edit 2/8/14 - little boo-boo in the driver list. Had Ryan Newman listed twice. That's been corrected.

Pool status update

Just received a call from Daryl. He's down in Arizona somewhere, living the life (of sunshine)! Seems that the pool is on so I'll be getting some driver picks sorted out in the next day or so.

Keep tuned for contact info.

New season

So a new season is upon us. I'm not sure what the status of the pool is as I haven't been contacted by Daryl. I believe that he's someplace warm and less mucky, which is good for him but I'm damn jealous!

It's a lot of work to set up the standings sheet for the year, so if there's no one to organize the pool then I'm not going to invest the time to get everything set up.

I guess last year Daryl's brother Mike helped to organize the pool but, again, haven't heard anything from him either.

If one of those two guys want to contact me and let me know if the pool is a go, then I can get started and get some driver groupings set up. They have my cell number so they can call or text. My e-mail address is j.k.houston at hotmail.com if they want to send me an e-mail.

If that doesn't happen, I don't think that I'll do the pool by myself. It's been fun but I'm more a fan of IndyCar than Nascar. This was just something I did to help a friend.  :)
