Shane van Gisbergen wins for the fourth time on a road or street course! The man is unstoppable, wow! No wonder Trackhouse wanted to bring him to the cup series. Good thing for the rest of the drivers that the playoffs aren't all road courses, lol!
Honourable mention to Ron for the low score of 15 points! That's the first time in a very long time that someone has gotten that low of a score. Ron's name will be added to our All Time Low Score race results board. Congrats Ron! That low score moves Ron up into third place.

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately I was in an accident on my bike riding home from work July 30th. I got caught out by a sudden stop in traffic and ended up running into the back of the pickup truck in front of me.
Not the most fun I've ever had, that's for sure! I ended up with an open fracture on my right wrist along with a dislocated elbow that caused some ligament damage. I also have a broken left tibia (lower leg) with a couple of fractured ribs, also on the left side. Funny enough it's my ribs that hurt the most!
I was airlifted down to Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto where they've been taking exceptionally good care of me. They fixed my wrist and elbow but my leg was too swollen for the surgeons to try and repair. So they stabilized my leg with a crazy device called an x-frame so we could wait for the swelling to go down.
The swelling has subsided enough for them to finish the repair but I'm now stuck in limbo to get OR time. Sunnybrook is a Tier 1 trauma centre so all the worst cases get sent there. But because my injury isn't as critical as all the new patients coming in, my case keeps getting pushed back. A bit frustrating, for sure, but it is what it is.
So, I'm stuck down at Sunnybrook until I can get back into surgery to get the final repair done to my leg. Once that's completed they'll transfer me back to SMH for rehab.
All that is to explain why there's been no updates the last couple of weeks and why probably nothing for a couple more. All the files are on my laptop at home and I'm in no hurry to get that, lol.
I've had tons of support from friends and family, which is very much appreciated! I'll post updates as I can. I'm feeling as good as can be expected, considering the circumstances. My helmet did it's job and I still have all my limbs attached. I'm expected to make a full recovery so that's the best one can hope for!
Take care my friends, we'll talk soon!
