Hi Gang! I finally busted out of the hospital this past week! Sure was a long haul rehabbing in there and I still have more work to do, but this is the first step to me getting back to a "normal" life. Thank you to my friends that came and visited while I was in the hospital, it really made a difference!

I was a little late getting the results posted due to the Thanksgiving weekend, took some time off to visit with family, getting stuffed with turkey and watching football, baseball, and hockey! Who could ask for more?!

On to the results, Denny Hamlin won the race and locked himself in to the final four. Could this finally be Denny's year? JGR has been strong all playoff, just three more races to crown a champion once again!

Charlotte road race result

Shockingly Shane van Gisbergen wins another road course, lol! This is his 5th win in a row on a road course. I think I saw that Jeff Gordon had 8 in a row, can shane beat the great Jeff Gordon's record?

Joey Logano squeaked into the round of 8, Las Vegas is the next race on the schedule.

New Hampshire race result

Ryan Baney wins the race and progresses to the next round, I didn't watch the race but it sounds like it was a typical NHMS race. A little beatin' n' bangin', some inter team rough stuff (lookin' at you Denny), all in all a usual Nascar race!

Here are the standings following the New Hampshire race:

Bristol race result

Christopher Bell was the race winer, advancing to the next round of 12. Eliminated were Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, Shane van Gisbergen, and Josh Berry.

Bell's win made it a clean sweep of the opening round for Joe Gibbs Racing, which has won the postseason’s first three races. Looks like they're the team to beat, but time will tell as there's still lots of racing to go!

Standings updated!

Hi gang, I finally got my laptop brought to me in the hospital, so I've been busy catching up for the last weeks that I wasn't able to get results posted.

There's been lots of movement in the standings but I wanted to bring attention to Ron's low score a few weeks back of 15 points! It's been a minute since we've had a score that low. Ron's score has been added to the All Time Low Score Race Day results. Congrats Ron!

Now that I have my laptop, I'll make sure I get the results posted after each race. Thanks for being patient while I arranged to get my laptop!

Darlington race result

Chase Briscoe was the race winner of the first race of the playoffs. This was Chase's 2nd win at Darlington, back to back from last year! Sounds like he drove a clean race to take home the win.

Here are the standings following the Darlington race:

Daytona race result

Ryan Blaney wins this race, this is his 2nd win of the season.

Here are the standings following the Daytona race:

Richmond race result

Here are the standings following the Richmond race:

Watkins Glen race result

Shane van Gisbergen wins for the fourth time on a road or street course! The man is unstoppable, wow! No wonder Trackhouse wanted to bring him to the cup series. Good thing for the rest of the drivers that the playoffs aren't all road courses, lol!

Honourable mention to Ron for the low score of 15 points! That's the first time in a very long time that someone has gotten that low of a score. Ron's name will be added to our All Time Low Score race results board. Congrats Ron! That low score moves Ron up into third place.

Here are the standings following the Watkins Glen race:

Iowa race result

William Byron was the race winner for this race. This was his 2nd win of the season.

Personal news

 Hello everyone,

Unfortunately I was in an accident on my bike riding home from work July 30th. I got caught out by a sudden stop in traffic and ended up running into the back of the pickup truck in front of me.

Not the most fun I've ever had, that's for sure! I ended up with an open fracture on my right wrist along with a dislocated elbow that caused some ligament damage. I also have a broken left tibia (lower leg) with a couple of fractured ribs, also on the left side. Funny enough it's my ribs that hurt the most!

I was airlifted down to Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto where they've been taking exceptionally good care of me. They fixed my wrist and elbow but my leg was too swollen for the surgeons to try and repair. So they stabilized my leg with a crazy device called an x-frame so we could wait for the swelling to go down.

The swelling has subsided enough for them to finish the repair but I'm now stuck in limbo to get OR time. Sunnybrook is a Tier 1 trauma centre so all the worst cases get sent there. But because my injury isn't as critical as all the new patients coming in, my case keeps getting pushed back. A bit frustrating, for sure, but it is what it is.

So, I'm stuck down at Sunnybrook until I can get back into surgery to get the final repair done to my leg. Once that's completed they'll transfer me back to SMH for rehab.

All that is to explain why there's been no updates the last couple of weeks and why probably nothing for a couple more. All the files are on my laptop at home and I'm in no hurry to get that, lol.

I've had tons of support from friends and family, which is very much appreciated! I'll post updates as I can. I'm feeling as good as can be expected, considering the circumstances. My helmet did it's job and I still have all my limbs attached. I'm expected to make a full recovery so that's the best one can hope for!

Take care my friends, we'll talk soon!

Indy race result

Bubba Wallace wins Indy! Been a few years since his last win but this punches his ticket to the playoffs. Sounds like his team isn't sure they'll even be running to finish the season. Let's hope for Bubba's sake they're not locked out.

Pocono race result

Chase Briscoe has his first win racing for Gibbs. Fuel mileage racing can get pretty boring, doesn't matter what series does it. Always like a hard charging ending!

Mexico City race result

Shane van Gisbergen is the first race winner in the historic Mexico City race. I think I heard that there was another international race but that was back in '58 or something. On one hand I think it's smart for NASCAR to go to Mexico, but it would probably have been better if they found an oval to race at.

I'm an open-wheel guy, so don't get me wrong I love a good race course. But NASCAR's identity is with ovals, not road courses. I feel like the more they've gone to road courses, the more fans have gotten disinterested. I guess ya gotta go where the money is, but I'd still like to see NASCAR mostly ovals...

Anyway, that's my mini rant, lol

Here are the results following the Mexico City race:

Atlanta race result

Christopher Bell is the race winner, saved by the yellow flag!

Pretty crazy end to the race with Hocevar pushing Bell and then trying to split Bell and Larson. It almost worked, but didn't make too many fans of Hocevar with the drivers! Anyway, it's always good to see a little beef between the drivers, adds a little spice to the show, lol

Here are the standings following the Atlanta race:

Daytona 500 race result

William Byron is the winner of the race and makes it two in a row! Lots of bangin' and crashes but that's par for the course at these superspeedways!
