Pheonix race result

The results are in, Joey Logano is a three time NASCAR Champion! Just to put an exclamation mark on it, he also won the race. That's three championships in a row for Penske Racing.

Crazy how a penalty allowed Joey to race for the championship and he ends up winning the thing! Crazy!

Congrats to our Top 5 finishers:

I'm sure you'll be hearing from Daryl in the next few days to arrange for you to get your winnings! Congrats to everyone who won, congrats to Ben Smith on winning the free pick next year for coming in 6th, and to everyone who played I hope you had a good time following along.

Martinsville race result

Ryan Blaney wins the race and reserves his place to defend his championship next week! With Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick winning previously, William Byron joins the other three drivers to race next week for the championship.

Scorpion holds a 26 point lead over John Houston for the lead, with 4th and 5th tied and only 8 points separating the free pick from the last paying place. Very close results leading up to the final race of the season.

Good luck to everyone for the final race next week!

Homestead race result

Tyler Reddick is the race winner and reserves his place in the championship race! The first time for him to be in this position. He's been doing a great job for the team.

One more race to set the final four next week and then off to Phoenix for the final race of the season!

Las Vegas race result

Wow, Joey Logano wins and punches his ticket to the final 4. And all from his being included from someone elses disqualification. Talk about luck!

Charlotte road course race result

Kyle Larson was the race winner with the most laps led. I heard the season lap total led and it was crazy how many laps Larson has led compared to the rest of the field. Amazing stat.

I can't believe how close the results are in the pool. Haven't seen it this tight for a while, looks like it could be anyones to win!

Talladega race result

Most cars involved in the "big one", what a wreck! The announcers even predicted the wreck earlier in the race.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is the race winner, always seems to be in the mix on the superspeedways!

Here are the standings following the Talladega race:

Kansas race result

A little late but here's the results.

Ross Chastain is the winner of the race! It's too bad he didn't get pole, then car 1 would've started 1st and finished 1st.  :)

Anyhoo..

Bristol race report

Kyle Larson wins and punches his ticket for the next round. They've lost four drivers and now down to 12. Hope your favourite drivers are still in the mix!

Here are the standings following the Bristol race:

Sunday, September 15, 2024

Watkins Glen race result

Chris Buescher wins and plays spoiler in the playoff! Sounds like there was a little triumph and tragedy for everyone in the race today. Off to Dover for some crazy short track racing!

Atlanta race result

Joey Logano wins the first race of the playoffs! Kyle Larson out early makes a big difference in the pool standings. Still pretty early days, so there's not a lot to read into it. Nine more races left to decide a champion and winner!

Darlington race result

Hi Gang, sorry for the late results posted. I've been pretty busy the last few weeks and didn't get the time to post. But, we're caught up now and we'll keep on top of things as we're now into the playoffs!

What a finish for Chase Briscoe to win his way into the playoff for Stewart-Haas Racing for their last season of competition! Couldn't write a better script.

I hope your favourite drivers have been doing well for you this season and you've been having fun tracking their progress. Ten more chances to get into the Top 5 for the cash payout! Good luck for the final races.

Here are the results following the Darlington race:

Daytona race result

Harrison Burton's first win in the Cup series! Always emotional when the colour commentator's kid is down on the track in the winners circle!

Looking at the results, The Galea Boys have tied things up with Scorpion for the first time this season! Tight battle between the two players!

Here are the standings following the Daytona race:

Michigan race result

Tyler Reddick wins for the 2nd time this year!

Here are the standings following the Michigan race:

Richmond race result

Austin Dillon was the race winner but had his playoff position taken away and he was penalized for wrecking cars for the win. I think he went over the line hooking Denny. Bad enough to wreck Joey but running into a bumper is a lot different then hooking someone into a wall.

Here are the results following the Richmond race:

Sunday, July 21, 2024

Indianapolis race result

Kyle Larson is the race winner! That's four wins so far. Sounds like he wants to go back and try the 500 again. Kiss the bricks again, eh?!

Here are the standings following the Indy race:

Pocono race result

Ryan Blaney is the race winner of the Pocono race. Bummed I missed this race, like the high speeds at Pocono.

Here are the standings following the Pocono race:

Chicago street race result

Alex Bowman is the race winner! He includes his name in the playoff picture. Nascar sure doesn't get any help from the weather at this race. Crazy rain last year and more delays this year. Spices up the race but it isn't something that comes naturally to the racers, so all the more challenging. Such a tight course, too.

Anyway, these types of races always shakes up our point standings and this one didn't fail. Scorpion had some big numbers (as I did as well) so that brought him back a little closer. Still a lot of races left to run but nice to see things tighten up a bit.

Here are the standings following the Chicago race:

Nashville race result

I missed posting that Joey Logano was the race winner from Nashville.

St. Louis WWTR race result

Austin Cindric wins for the 2nd time in his career and punches his ticket to the playoffs!

Charlotte race result

Christopher Bell is the race winner for the rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600. Sad to see Kyle Larson didn't get a chance to race in both races. Damn rain...

Here are the standings following the Charlotte race:

Sunday, May 12, 2024

Darlington race result

Brad Keselowski was the race winner, I just checked and that's his first of the season. In fact he hasn't won in 110 races, so I'm sure he's feeling pretty good about this race win!

Pretty cool to see all the throwback paint schemes on the cars! thought I was watching an old re-run.  :)

Here are the standings following the Darlington race:

Kansas race result

Kyle Larson was the race winner doing Kyle Larson type things! What an incredible finish, less than 0.001 seconds between first and second and only 0.003 seconds between first and fourth! Wow!

The broadcasters said that the finish was the closest in Nascar history. Pretty spectacular for sure!

Here are the standings following the Kansas race:

Sunday, April 28, 2024

Dover race result

Denny Hamlin takes the win at Dover. I didn't get a chance to see the race, hope it was entertaining!

Here are the standings following the Dover race:

Sunday, April 21, 2024

Talladega race result

Tyler Reddick wins and punches his ticket to the playoffs! What a big wreck behind him as he dodged the mayhem, wow. McDowell blocked one too many times and paid the price. Superspeedway racing at it's finest (worst)!

Here are the standings following the Talladega race:

Sunday, April 14, 2024

Texas race result

Chase Elliott is the race winner, breaking a 42 race winless streak. Saw lots of highlights and cautions for this race, always seems to be lots of action at Texas!

Here are the standings following the Texas race:

Sunday, April 7, 2024

Martinsville race result

William Byron wins for the third time this season! Hendricks also comes in first, second, and third. First time that's been done. Such a dominant team!

Here are the standings following the Martinsville race:

Monday, April 1, 2024

Richmond race result

Late night finish but Denny Hamlin prevailed for another hometown win! Short track racing at it's finest for some, not so much for others. Always lots of contact at Richmond.

Here are the standings following the Richmond race:

COTA race result

I didn't even know this race was run, sorry for the late results...

William Byron was the race winner. Seems track limits were a topic, always seems to be a problem at this track.

Here are the standings following the COTA race:

Sunday, March 17, 2024

Bristol race result

Denny Hamlin is the race winner! Quite the shred factory with the concrete track being used again. I guess Goodyear missed the call changing to concrete? Guess it made it more dramatic, and that's not always a bad thing. Onto the next race!

Here are the standings following the Bristol race:

Saturday, March 16, 2024

Phoenix race result

Christopher Bell is the race winner of the Phoenix race. Starting to see the race wins spread among the teams instead of one team dominating everything. The season is still early but hopefully this trend continues.

Here are the standings following the Phoenix race:

Las Vegas race result

Kyle Larson is the race winner and punches his ticket to the playoffs early! Every year he seems to put his car in a position to win the championship. Hell of a racer, even if you're not a fan.

Here are the standings following the Las Vegas race:

Atlanta race result

Daniel Suarez wins the race! Seemed like it was a popular result throughout the drivers in the series. There were a lot of crashes during this race so the results are pretty scrambled from the usual suspects.

Here are the standings following the Atlanta race:

Daytona race result

William Byron wins the Daytona 500! It's always a guess how the drivers will finish on the big superspeedways. This race was no different.
