The results are in, Ryan Blaney is the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion! A well deserved title.

Here are the final standings for the season:
Ryan Blaney wins the race and punches his ticket to the Championship 4 race next week in Phoenix! The last driver eligble for the Championship race is William Byron who was behind all the other drivers for the most part of the race but raced his way in during the final segment of the race.

Christopher Bell is the race winner and has punched his ticket to the Championship race! Problems at the other half of the race team hurts Hamlin and Truex Jr.
One race left to set the field for the Championship 4 race, one race left to decide the winner of our Pool!

*Edit: Post-race inspection revealed Kevin Harvicks car windshield had loose and missing hardware. The rules state it has to be secure, so the car was disqualified. Seems an usually severe penalty but they are talking about the windshield, so there can't be any wiggle room for rules with that. Sucks for him and the team.
Anyway, they did publish a new finishing order, so this standing has also been updated based on the #4 car's disqualification.

William Byron was the winner in this rain-shortened race. Always sucks when the races get shortened like this but when the weather doesn't co-operate, what can you do? Just gotta take what you can get.
That was pretty cool to see Richard Childress pace the field in the 29 car, and see Kevin Harvick run alongside him. Glad I caught that...

I thought the track looked racy for the Cup cars and thought it was good that it was in a park setting instead of between a bunch of high-rise buildings.

I like how we're half way thru the season (basically) and the standings are still really tight. There hasn't been a breakaway yet, which keeps things interesting! It's still anyone's game to win.

Kyle Busch survives and wins the race! Well that's another crazy Talladega ending, always lots of torn up race cars after one of those races. And the race still finished under yellow, even with the GWC rule.

Kyle Larson is the race winner! That's two wins from the last three races. I didn't get a chance to watch the race but did catch a race recap, seemed like a typical Martinsville race.

I can't say that I'm a big fan of these cars on dirt. They just looked big and heavy and slow. The place almost looked empty, as well. That's too bad, I remember seeing that place packed with fans. Is it the dirt race? Maybe their second regular race will be better.

Anyway, Tyler Reddick is the race winner, after three overtime tries and multiple torn up cars! I can't imagine the car owners like seeing that much damage but it sure makes for a ton of action.

Joey Logano was the race winner, edging out Keselowski on the last lap. Chastain in the middle of a huge wreck, again. Seems like Checkers or Wreckers for that driver.

William Byron was the race winner of the Phoenix race and it was his 2nd in a row. Looked like Larson was good for the win but late caution always changes everything!

Kyle Busch wins the final race at California raceway in the 2 mile configuration. Sad to see the raceway go, I've seen some great racing at that track over the years.
Great to see Kyle pick right up where he left off at Joe Gibbs racing at RCR. Could be a special year for Kyle if this is any indication of how he's going to race this year!

Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been busy. Is it March already?! Holy smokes, where does the time go!
